CP Takes Action: KTM Rider Arrested for Stunt Near Official Residence

Nagpur: In a daring and disruptive act, an audacious biker went ‘Bang, Bang’ by making a series of cracker-like sounds using a modified bike in front of the official residence of Commissioner of Police, Dr. Ravinder Singal. The incident resulted in chaos and panic among commuters on city roads. Prompt action by the Traffic Police, following orders from Commissioner Singal, led to the arrest of the biker.

The accused has been identified as Prince Nageshwar Shukla (19), a resident of Parsodi, Jamtha. He was taken into custody near Telangkhedi Lake. He was riding the 250 CC bike (MH-40/CR-1921) dangerously without a head gear. Cops collected a total fine of Rs 11,750 as per the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and handed him over to Ambazari Police for initiating preventive action against him.

On Wednesday, the youth riding a modified KTM Duke bike executed an attention-grabbing stunt outside the official residence of Commissioner of Police, Dr. Ravinder Singal. The biker, in a brazen display, created explosive sounds resembling crackers by revving the engine of the modified bike.

The incident occurred on the street in close proximity to the Commissioner’s residence, causing immediate alarm among residents and commuters. Witnesses reported widespread panic as the unconventional stunt disrupted normal traffic flow and raised concerns about public safety.

Commissioner Singal swiftly issued orders to the Traffic Police to identify and apprehend the biker responsible for the audacious act. Responding promptly to the directive, the Traffic Police launched an operation on Wednesday to locate and detain the individual behind the “Bang Bang” stunt.

During the operation, the youth was spotted riding the KTM Duke bike at a high speed, further escalating the risk to public safety. The Traffic Police successfully intercepted and arrested the biker, bringing an end to the reckless display that had caused distress among the city’s residents.

The arrested individual is currently in police custody and will face charges related to public disturbance, reckless driving, and any modifications made to the bike that violate road safety regulations. Commissioner Singal emphasized the importance of ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order in the city.

The incident serves as a reminder of the challenges posed by individuals engaging in attention-seeking and disruptive behaviours on city roads. The modified bike used in the stunt will undergo a detailed inspection to determine any illegal modifications.
