Nagpur: Central Railway, Nagpur Division, disbursed 78-day bonus to its 14,422 eligible employees. It is for the first time the employees received the annual bonus within 24 hours of the announcement by the Railway Board.
The Divisional Railway Manager, Central Railway, Nagpur Division, Richa Khare said that the Board had announced the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) traditionally before Puja. She said bonus is paid to employees for motivating them for better productivity. Board’s communication was received on Wednesday and by Thursday, the Nagpur Division completed all formalities relating to depositing the PLB in employees accounts.
As per 78-day calculation under agreed formula, each of the Class III employees got Rs. 17,951 as PLB and at Division about 14,422 employees were eligible. Total payment done by the Division was Rs. 25,31,79,431. But what was more significant was that even retired employees, numbering about 997 (they superannuated between April 2020 to March 2021) and widows (employees who passed away during the last financial year) about 97 also received the benefit in record time. Normally they used to get the PLB quite late but this year administration ensured that they are not left out of exercise.
A Nagpur Division’s team including Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer (Sr. DPO) NS Kazi, Sr. Divisional Finance Officer (Sr. DFM) Vijay Kadam ensured that PLB amount reaches employees within a day. Principal Chief Personnel Officer(PCPO),CR,DrA K Sinha and DRM supervised the arrangement.
