Cyber-Crime Awareness Program organised in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a significant step towards enhancing cyber safety, Harshal Borkar and Alhan Siddiqui, dedicated Cyber Warriors from Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, conducted a comprehensive cyber-crime awareness program at Sadhana Vidya High School, Jaitala on September 2.

This initiative, part of the “Cyber Shiksha for Cyber Suraksha” campaign, is spearheaded by Quick Heal Foundation in collaboration with Maharashtra Cyber. The campaign aims to educate the young generation about the growing threats in the digital world.

The event was graced by the presence of the school’s Principal, Pranali, who expressed her gratitude towards the campaign and emphasized the importance of cyber safety for students. “In today’s digital age, it is imperative that our students are equipped with the knowledge and tools to navigate the online world safely. This program is a valuable step in that direction,” said Pranali.

Harshal and Alhan led the students through various aspects of cybercrime, including online scams, phishing, identity theft, and cyber bullying. They shared practical tips on staying safe online, such as the importance of strong, unique passwords, recognizing suspicious emails and links, and updating privacy settings on social media platforms.

The Cyber Warriors also highlighted the significance of understanding cyber threats, implementing preventive measures, and knowing the reporting mechanisms.

The awareness program was interactive, with students participating actively and asking pertinent questions about online safety. The session included real-life case studies and interactive activities to make the learning experience engaging and relatable for the students. The event concluded with a pledge by the students to be vigilant and responsible internet users.
