Nagpur News: A speeding four-wheeler knocked a cyclist dead and seriously injured another on Thursday night. The incident occurred near Kamptee Road under the jurisdiction of Pachpaoli Police Station. The deceased, identified as Jethu Vaishaku Patel (35), was riding pillion with his brother Videshi Vaishaku Patel (30), a resident of Naik Talao, Bangladesh. A around 6 pm, a speeding Tavera (MH 31 DV 1657) coming from Kamptee Road, hit the cyclist who received serious injuries with the impact of the dash. Fearing arrest the driver fled away.
On the complaint of Videshi Patel, Pachpaoli PI lodged an FIR against the driver under Sections 279, 338, 304 (A) of the IPC.
