Cyclothon for voter awareness gets good response in Nagpur

Nagpur: A Cyclothon, organised on the occasion of World Health Day, jointly by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), District Administration, SVEEP Group, and Viveka Hospital, achieved a dual purpose as it served as a voter awareness campaign, besides spreading health awareness.

The Cyclothon was held during the morning hours of Sunday, near Swami Vivekananda Smarak, Ambazari. Saumya Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad and Nodal Officer of SVEEP, flagged off the Cyclothon. Sharma addressed the gathering and urged youth to be aware of the upcoming elections and fulfil their duties by casting their vote.

The theme of the programme was ‘One step towards health’. The participants present in large numbers cycled across various parts of the city and spread awareness about health and voting.

On this occasion, Dr Ranjana Lade, Municipal Deputy Commissioner; Milind Meshram; Prakash Varade, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner of Dharampeth Zone; Ghanshyam Pandhare; Dr Deepak Selokar, Medical Health Officer; Dr Vijay Joshi, Additional Medical Health Officer; Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Municipal Sports Officer; Ravindra Bundade, Executive Engineer; Dr Mukund Thakur, Dr Abhijeet Deshmukh, Dr Ajay Sakhre, Dr Nilesh Mathankar, Dr Dhruv Batra, Dr Nikhil Rathod, Dr Ved Mahajan, and Dr Ravindra Paranjpe were present.
