Deshmukh, a leader of the NCP (Sharad Pawar), highlighted the absence of both the factory owner and manager at the scene, emphasizing the challenges faced in arranging ambulances due to their absence on-site.

Commissioner of Police Dr. Singal, addressing the media later, confirmed the destruction of stocked firecrackers within the unit, attributing the subsequent explosion to this event. He noted that initial inquiries pointed to a possible ignition from the microchord of the firecrackers.
