Delhi Metro will start operations at 4 am on 7 February, the day of polling for Delhi Assembly elections.
Delhi Metro in a statement said, “Metro trains will start service at 4am from all lines on February 7 at a frequency of 30 minutes till 5:30am. Thereafter, trains on all lines will run as per normal schedule.”
Over 25 lakh commuters travel daily by the Metro. The results for Delhi elections will be declared on February 10.
EC has been carrying out an awareness campaign targeting people commuting on the metro with an aim to encourage them to vote in the Assembly polls.
