Dental student consumed poison for poor results

Nagpur News : A day after the result, a third year student of Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) committed suicide by consuming poison. 21-year-old Shweta Bhoyar, a resident of Bank Colony in Ashirwad Nagar, took the extreme step under depression over failure in exam.

“She was pursuing studies in Wardha College. Yesterday, her third year result was declared and she failed. Her parents told that she was shocked and disturbed after the poor results,” said he investigating officer from Sakkardara police station.

Police told that no suicide note was found from Shweta’s room. Her suicide was registered as a case of an accidental death.

The extreme step by Shweta has shattered her parents. Her father, Gunwantrao, is employed among senior officials in Income tax office.

Police informed that she consumed poison in the afternoon after she came from the college.

“She had gone to the college to take her result. She came home depressed, shows the result to her mother and walked in her room. An hour later, her mother found her vomiting blood and alerted other family members,” said police.

She was rushed to a private hospital in Dhantoli area. Doctors declared her dead during treatment at late night.

Her parents described Shweta as a very sensitive natured girl before police. They told cops that she was very hard working but would never score good marks.

“Parents told that she was expecting good results and aimed to join some hospital but her poor results, shattered her dreams. She would share all her problems with her mother but before her mother would go to have a word with her, it was too later,” told police.
