Nagpur: Vivek Palatkar, the dreaded criminal who murdered his five family members including his 5 year old son may not have any signs of repent on his face, but his mother Sandhyabai Palatkar is literally shameful of giving birth to such a devil. Frustrated over the incident, Sandhyabai allegedly tried to commit suicide on Friday.
She attempted suicide at her native place at Nuwargaon within the limits of Airoli police station, Nagpur rural district.
Police said Sadhyabai, who is depressed ever since the murders had come to fore, tried to take a plunge into a well at the village. She was rescued by Vivek’s cousin Balya, who later brought her home. It’s learnt that Sandhya had been living alone at a temple after the incident.

Vivek has murdered his wife in 2014. He killed five persons, including son, sister Archana, her husband Kamlakar Pawankar, their daughter Vedanti and her grandmother 70-year-old Meerabai.
Airoli police and Balya later alerted Nandanvan police regarding the suicide attempt. Confirming the incident, zonal DCP Nilesh Bharne said he is trying to gather more information.
