Descendent of Tajuddin Baba receives death threat in Nagpur

Nagpur: Security of a descendant of Tajuddin Baba was beefed up after he received a threat in an email. A case was registered by Sakkardara police.

According to police, Syed Talib Taji Syed Yusuf Iqbal Taji (32), a resident of Bada Tajbagh and a descendant of Tajuddin Baba received an email from two terrorist organisations on Saturday at 8.15 pm. Syed Talib holds the post of ‘Sajjad Nasheen’. After offering Ramadan Namaz on Saturday, around 8.15 pm, he got an email alert on his mobile phone. As it was Ramadan, he checked the mail at 8.50 pm after ‘Iftar’.

He received two emails from Zaka Khan through ‘zakazakatraders1990.gmail. com’ email id on behalf of Jamaat-ul-Dawa Hafiz Saeed and Tehreek-e-Taliban organisation. The email stated, “You are a Muslim but helping Hindu organisations. We are watching you and we can harm you anytime.” Syed Talib approached Sakkardara police station and a complaint was lodged.

A police official said that the email was sent from Surat, Gujarat. A case under various sections of Indian Penal Code was registered by Sakkardara police and started investigation.

It may be mentioned here that Syed Talib Taji had received threats four to five times in the past. As a result, he was provided police protection from Nagpur police. After receiving the new email, the city police reviewed his security arrangement and deployed additional guards.
