Nagpur: On the occasion of Rakhi Pournima, the palanquin of Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Mother was brought to Dattasur Maharaj for Rakhi tying. This celebration was joyously and devoutly organized, with devotees participating enthusiastically and reverently.
The atmosphere was filled with devotion as devotees experienced the divine sight. This new tradition became special for the devotees, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere in the temple precinct.

Known as the revered mother of Koradi, this goddess is also known as Jakhapur. Jakhapur’s king, Jholan, had seven sons: Janoba, Nanoba, Banoba, Bairoba, Khairoba, Agnoba, and Dattasur. However, as he did not have a daughter, the king was unhappy. He performed rituals, sacrifices, worship, and austerities to please the gods and sought a daughter as radiant, holy, and endowed with divine qualities as the ancient Maya.
