Nagpur: The doors of Shri Badrinarayan Temple near Dosar Bhavan Square in Nagpur, opened on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. Thousands of devotees took the first darshan of Lord Shri Badrinath. This is the only temple of Lord Badrinath in Central India.
Like every year, Pat Mahotsav of Lord Shri Badrinath was organised at 6.05 am. Jaiprakash Gupta, President, Temple, Trust, Girish Vyas, ex-MLC, took the first darshan. Punit Podar, Trustee, Shri Poddareshwar Ram Mandir, worshipped the religious flag, Ramesh Mantri, Deepak Patel, Munnalal Gaur, Srinivas Aggarwal, Ramswaroop Sarda,Dr SureshChandak, Prof Devvrat Shahi, Jaiprakash Parekh, Vinod Sahu, Kaushal Trivedi, Jaysingh Kachwaha along with the many dignitaries were prominently present in the Pat Mahotsav.
Morning aarti and puja was organised where Commissioner of Police Dr Ravinder Singal. Senior PI of Ganeshpeth Police Station Machhindra Pandit, Senior PI of Tehsil Police Station Sandip Buwa, Shrikant Aglave, President, Central Nagpur unit of BJP, Kishor Patil, Chief Priest Pt Umesh Tiwari, Pt Abhishek Tiwari and Pt Ashish Tiwari also were present.
On the occasion, Dr Singal inaugurated the Prasad distribution and felicitated the Chief Priest. Guests were welcomed by Brajbhushan Shukla, Gurdeep Arora, Santosh Singh, Ravi Mishra, Rahul Bahoria,Sunil Devarnarkar, Rakesh Yadav, Manoj Awasthi, Subhash Shriwas, Aditya Shukla, Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Ajay Shriwas, Aman Petal, Aanshul Padmavat, Shubham Thakur, Tarun Shriwas, Veer Shriwas, Krishna Gaur and others.
Gupta said that due to some technical reasons, the work of reconstruction of the temple got postponed which will resume soon. The temple also has idols of Lord Kuber and Lord Narad apart from that of Lord Badrinath. The two-day programmes included group musical Sundar Kand, Bhajan Sandhya, Pat Mahotsav, Prasad and Pujan, in which a large number of devotees participated.
