Nagpur: The Shardiya Navratri festival has commenced from Thursday, October 3, and the atmosphere in the city is filled with joy and enthusiasm in Nagpur. On the very first day of Navratri, devotees thronged in large numbers at various temples across Nagpur. All the temples in the city have been beautifully decorated with vibrant flowers.
At the ancient 700-year-old Maa Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Temple in Koradi, Nagpur district, long queues of devotees were seen from the early hours of the day. On this first day, devotees were blessed with the divine sight of the self-manifested (Swayambhu) idol of Goddess Mahalaxmi Jagdamba.
The auspicious time for Kalash Sthapana during Navratri started today, October 3, 2024, at 6:15 am and lasted until 7:22 am. The “Abhijit Muhurat” for Ghatasthapana was from 11:46 am to 12:33 pm.
