Nagpur: The Students of Raisoni Group, whether it is Engineering or Management or yet any other stream, are constantly in tension and stress. Examinations, Practicals, Assignments, Seminars, Classes, Industrial Visits, Lecture Sessions etc keep them on their toes.
An event like Dhamal Dandiya is when they get to loosen their taut muscles and tensions. Dancing away to the tunes of popular Gujarati numbers and Bollywood numbers, the students seemed sweat-it out on the grounds.
Dressed in the traditional attire, girls with ‘chaniyo’ the coloured petticoat often embroidered with ‘abhala’ or glass pieces, a similarly embroidered blouse ‘choli’ or ‘polku’ along with ‘odhani’, and the boys wearing ‘dhoti’ and ‘kafani’ or ‘peharan’ (shirt) a short coat with a turban, the students were dazzling and dancing away with glee.
Indian television actor, model and dancer Gurmeet Choudhary who made the celebrity visit to the venue had girl-students practically falling all over him. They were simply going ga-ga over him. In his very short message to the youth of Nagpur, Gurmeet Chaudhary said “Never Give-Up”.
