Yograj Singh, father of ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh, in a remark that could trigger a major controversy and war of words, has targeted Mahendra Singh Dhoni for obstructing his son’s selection in World Cup-2015 squad. Yograj Singh said, “I don’t understand what problem the Indian skipper has with my son. My son has always played outstanding cricket and brought glory to the country over the years.”
Yograj Singh further said, “Yuvraj even played cricket when he was suffering from cancer. Yuvraj’s fantastic contribution during 2011 World Cup could not be overlooked,” said Yograj Singh. His disappointment could be attributed towards non-inclusion of Yuvraj Singh in the World Cup-2015 squad.
After knowing his father’s outburst, Yuvraj tweeted
Like every parent my dad is also passionate and I am sure got carried away always enjoyed playing under Mahi n would do so in future

It is significant to recall that a major debate had erupted over omission of Yuvraj Singh from the World Cup squad. To give credence to the Yograj Singh’s outburst against Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh was sold in the form of costliest player in the IPL-2015 auction held on Monday (February 16). Yuvraj was purchased by Delhi Daredevils at the staggering price of Rs 16 crore.
