Double murder case: Prime accused cheated over 100 youths with false job promise

Nagpur: Omkar Mahendra Talmale (25), the prime accused in a double murder case of two businessmen of Nagpur, has been exposed for orchestrating a fraudulent job scam.

During the ongoing investigation of the sensational double murder case that rocked the city last Thursday, the police learnt that Talmale had duped over 100 jobless youths in the past two years on pretext of providing them jobs in private companies. Talmale, a resident of Plot No 54, Smruti Layout, Dattawadi, was allegedly running a wooden sculptures manufacturing unit known as ‘Woodpickers’ in the MIDC area. Utilising his connections with political leaders, he lured jobless youths by promising them lucrative positions in private companies.

According to police, Talmale managed to swindle over 100 youngsters, each of whom reportedly paid him two to three lakh rupees. This illicit scheme has been in operation since the last two years, as per the information gathered by the Police.

Meanwhile, the Rural Police have requested the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) for assistance in the search for Nirala Kumar Singh’s body in the Wardha River. Nirala Kumar Singh, along with Amrish Gole, were victims of the heinous double murder case, and their bodies were reportedly thrown into the swollen Wardha river by the killers on July 26 at 4 am.

Despite extensive efforts by the Police teams from Kondhali, Wardha, and Chandrapur to locate Nirala Kumar’s body, their mechanical search has not yielded any results. In a bid to intensify their search operations, the Rural Police are now planning to deploy drones to aid in the search.
