Nagpur News: They say service to human beings is service to God. One of the best ways to manifest service to fellow human beings is the donation of blood. This was made into realty on the occasion of the Death Anniversary of Shri Swami Samartha. The Member of Expert Committee, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Member of Maharashtra State Blood Transfusion Council and Member of Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Natya Parishad, Nagpur Branch, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Naik voluntarily visited the Blood Bank of Daga Memorial Hospital and donated his blood for the 64th time.
Those present on the occasion included Convener of Raja Shiv Chhatrapati Pratishthan, Medical Superintendent of Daga Memorial Hospital Milind Yeole, Residential Medical Officer of Daga Memorial Hospital Dr. Vaishali Khedikar, Blood Transfusion Officer of Blood Bank Dr. Madhuri Thorat, Senior Social Worker Dr. Sangita Mehta, Varsha Balpande, Matron of Daga Memorial Hospital, S Lata Tele, and Technician of Laboratory Ashwin Nasik, Prakash Ramteke and Ashok Nikhare.
A special function was organized by Shri Mayuresh Jiwanvikas Pratisthan. Prof. Dr. Rajesh Naik was felicitated by the dignitaries with a Blood Donor Card, Certificate and Memento. The mission of blood donation is the prime task of Prof. Dr. Rajesh Naik and he is always ready to serve the society at large. He has become prominent figure of this orange city and everybody is proud of him.
