At the recent prestigious National Endoscopy Conference, Endocon 2024, held in Delhi, Dr. Mukewar’s endoscopy video presentation was honored with the Best Video Award amongst the 100 participants for the third consecutive year.
Dr. Mukewar’s award-winning presentation showcased a novel technique: Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) guided transrectal obliteration of small intestinal ectopic varices in a patient with decompensated cirrhosis and ascites. After completing his medical education at Government Medical College, Nagpur, India, Dr. Mukewar pursued training at renowned institutions in the United States. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, both globally recognized for their excellence in medical education and patient care.
In addition to his core training, Dr. Mukewar sought specialized expertise through advanced fellowships, including an advanced interventional endoscopy fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a transplant hepatology fellowship at Columbia University in New York.
