Nagpur News : A drunk girl from an influential family hit five youths with her car in Futala area on Friday night. Thereafter, the girl created a ruckus and even abused the youths. When activists of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena tried to stop the girl from misbehaving, she made an attempt to run her car over them. Finally, the MNS activists caught hold of her and handed her over to Ambazari police.
Two youths Mangesh Dongre and Chaudhary sustained injuries when the girl hit them with her car. They underwent treatment at a private hospital in Ravi Nagar.
Deputy city chief of MNS, Prashant Pawar reached Ambazari police station and demanded medical examination of the girl. Cops initially declined to take her for medical test, but later relented following public anger and pressure from MNS activists.
On checking the girl’s car, the cops came across liquor bottles in her car. Earlier also, citizens had lodged complaint against her at Ambazari police station for creating ruckus under the influence of liquor.
Meanwhile, Pawar has demanded seizure of the girl’s driving license. Sushrut Kher, Rakesh Bangre, Yogesh Masram, Jagdish Sarale, Amol Borkar and others were present at the spot.
