Nagpur: In a significant move to enhance security and facilitate smoother travel, India has launched an e-passport pilot project in Nagpur and Bhubaneswar, with over 9,000 e-passports issued so far.
The project, which began in April, aims to provide advanced security features and easier immigration facilities for Indian citizens in 140 countries worldwide.
With the pilot project deemed successful, officials plan to implement e-passports nationwide within a month, reducing fraud cases and making travel more convenient.
