The Election Commission of India (ECI) has organized an exhibition based on the topic “India and Elections” from March 30 to April 1 at Multipurpose Hall of South Central Zone Cultural Center (SCZCC) in Civil Lines. The aim of the exhibition is to educate and create awareness among people about importance of voting and other related aspects. The Election Commission’s Observer for Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency Ravindranath Mishra visited the exhibition and inspected it. He was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Officer Rahul Rekhawar, IAS.
The exhibition has been arranged and set up by Central Government’s DAVP Agency. The exhibition will be open for public from 10 am to 5 pm free of cost. The Election Commission, through the exhibition, has appealed voters to participate in maximum number in the April 10 voting for Lok Sabha elections. The exhibition has provided guidance to voters on voting process, dos and don’ts and other aspects. The Assistant Director of DAVP Nanjundswami has been conducting the exhibition with the cooperation of Chief Electoral Officer and District Electoral Officer.
The Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has put up many hoardings at various places in the city for creating awareness about voting. The hoardings have been put up at T-Point Square, MLA Hostel Square, District Collector’s Office, Deekshabhumi Square, Kalamna Market, Ravi Bhavan and other places.
