Editor booked for molestation of woman

Jaripatka police have booked a lewd Editor of a weekly newspaper on the charges of molestation of 35-year old woman.

According to police, the accused Subhash Janardan Ghodghate (35), resident of Bank Colony, Kapil Nagar, Nagpur, works as an Editor in the weekly newspaper. The complainant woman was used to visit the newspaper for publication of her write-ups in the newspaper. The accused Subhash first got friendly with her. However, since the wife of the accused was unable to deliver due to some complications, Subhash was urging the woman for physical relations with her since the past two years. But the woman always spurned the urge of Subhash.

The accused, frustrated and enraged as well by frequent refusal by the woman, started resorting to accosting the woman on the roads and sending vulgar SMSes at odd hours of day and night on the woman’s mobile phone. Not satisfied with his filthy actions, Subhash started threatening the woman of defaming her. The woman, fed up with the actions of Subhash, lodged a complaint with the Jaripatka police in this connection.

The Jaripatka PSI Shinde, acting on the complaint of the woman, booked Subhash Janardan Ghodghate under Sections 354 (A), (1), (2) of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
