Nagpur: The Traffic Branch of Nagpur Police has made elaborate traffic arrangements for Ram Navami Shobhayatra to be taken out by Shri Ramjanmotsav Shobhayatra Samiti from Shri Poddareshwar Mandir at 4.30 pm on Wednesday, April 17.
The Shobhayatra will pass via Mayo Hospital Square, Bhagwagar Chowk, Nalsaheb Chowk, Ganjakhet Chowk, Shahid Chowk, Tonga Stand, Badkas Chowk, Mahal Gandhi Gate, Tilak Statue, Ganesh Mandir turning, Agyaram Devi Chowk, Gita Mandir, Cotton Market Square, Iron Bridge, Anand Talkies, Munje Chowk, Rani Jhansi Square, Variety Square, Sitabuldi Main Road, Jaistambh, Ram Jhula and culminate at Shree Poddareshwar Ram Mandir.
Except pedestrians, all sorts of vehicles have been prohibited in the temple premises from 9 am to 4.30 pm. The vehicular traffic will be diverted from Mayo Hospital Square, Dosar Bhavan Chowk towards LIC Square or Shree Mohini Complex Y-point. Vehicles coming from Cotton Market Square towards Guard Line will be diverted via Manas Chowk. Vehicles coming from Bajeriya towards Central Avenue will be diverted towards Santra Market and Bhaldarpura.
Plying of heavy vehicles on Central Avenue has been prohibited from 2 pm till the culmination of the Shobhayatra. Similarly, traffic arrangements have been made for the Shobhayatra to be taken out from Shree Ram Mandir by Pashchim Nagpur Nagarik Sangh, Ram Nagar, at 5 pm.
Vehicles coming from Ravi Nagar direction towards Ram Nagar Square will be diverted from Gokulpeth Market. Vehicles coming from Shankar Nagar towards Ram Nagar will be diverted via Gokulpeth Market and Coffee House Square. After the Shobhayatra reaches Laxmi Bhavan Square, vehicles coming from Shankar Nagar Square will be diverted from Batukbhai Jewellers’ Square. Vehicles coming from Law College Square will be diverted from Coffee House Square.
