Eleven dead in tanker fire in Aizwal

At least 11 people have died and 10 others were injured in a fire incident in Tuirial, Aizawl district, after a tanker carrying petrol caught fire. “A four-wheeler taxi and two 2-wheelers got damaged in the incident,” Aizawl SP C Lalruaia.

“A total of 11 died in a fire incident after a tanker lorry carrying 22,000 litres of petrol met with an accident within the vicinity of Tuirial Airfield and people gathered to collect the spilling petrol from the tanker,” Mizoram police said.
