Nagpur News : Riding on Nutan Ingole’s brace Eram Club A blanked Eagle Academy 3-0 in VHA Senior Division Hockey Tournament organised by Vidarbha Hockey Association at its playfield on Friday.
Eram A were leading by 2-0 in the first half. Nutan Ingole put them in the leading position converting excellent field goal. Then in the 29th minute she once again sounded the board.
In second half, Eagle Academy eves made some good move to reduce the deficit but the rival defenders were equal to the task. In the 38th minute, Kanchan Madavi showing lot of skills netted third goal to seal the fate of opponents.
In the men’s tie, Amit Yesur’s late goal helped City Police to play 1-1 draw against DSA Central Railway.
In the 23rd minute, Firoz Khan gave 1-0 lead to the railmen converting penalty corner. In the second half City Police tried hard to score an equaliser. Then in the 60th minute, they earned penalty stroke. Amit Yesur made no mistake and converted it to save the cops from defeat.
On Saturday, SE Railway will play Young Star Kamptee at 2 p.m. DSA Central Railway will lock horns with Eagle Club at 3 p.m.
