Fact Check: Video of snake rescued from LIC Office is not from Nagpur!!

Nagpur: From past few days, Fire and Emergency Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has been busy handling various calls enquiring about a Cobra Snake being rescued by one of their female firefighters from LIC Office in Nagpur. However, no such incident was reported from the city, Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Rajendra Uchake clarified.

“From past couple of days, I’ve been constantly getting calls regarding an incident that has occurred in the LIC Office, where a woman firefighter reportedly rescued a Cobra Snake. However, no such incidents were reported to our department nor any staff members had participated in any rescue operation of the snake,” CFO Uchake informed speaking to Nagpur Today.

The video of a woman firefighter, seen rescuing a Cobra Snake from LIC Office, had gone viral on social media platforms. The video was circulated on the pretext that it was from Nagpur. However, when Nagpur Today investigated the matter, the reality came to fore, as it was not from the Second Capital of the State.
