Fadnavis opens new building of Katol Police Station, police quarters

Nagpur: In a significant development for the Nagpur Rural Police, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the newly constructed building of Katol Police Station on Friday. Alongside the police station, several police quarters in Katol and Narkhed also were inaugurated, further enhancing the living conditions of police personnel in the region.

Fadnavis visited Katol for a review meeting at the sub-divisional office, where he took the opportunity to inaugurate the upgraded office of Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) and police station. Additionally, through a tele-visual system, he remotely inaugurated the police quarters located in Katol, Narkhed, Kuhi, Parseoni and Khapa.

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Ramtek MP KripalTumane, BJP State President and MLC Chandrasekhar Bawankule, MLA and Ex-Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, MLA Ashish Jaiswal, ADG (Police Housing) Archana Tyagi, Special Inspector General of Police (Nagpur Range) Dr Chhering Dorje, District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar, ZP CEO Saumya Sharma, Superintendent of Police (Nagpur Rural) Vishal Anand, Addl SP Dr Sandeep Pakhale, SDPO Ajay Chandkhede, and Police Inspector Ashok Koli.

The need for improved residential facilities for police personnel has been a longstanding demand in the region. Addressing this concern, Fadnavis digitally inaugurated 63 police quarters in Katol and 61 quarters in Narkhed. These modern and comfortable accommodations are expected to enhance the quality of life for the police force, enabling them to perform their duties with renewed dedication and focus.

Following the dedication ceremony, Fadnavis flagged off the patrolling cars for police, symbolising the strengthened security measures. Furthermore, he felicitated the policemen who have been performing special duties, acknowledging their dedication and commitment to maintaining law and order in the district.
