Nagpur: A domestic dispute turned violent on Monday night in Chintamani Nagar when a father shot his son with a twelve-bore shotgun. The son sustained severe injuries from the gunshot. The incident caused a brief period of panic and chaos in the area. Senior police officials arrived at the scene promptly after being informed. At the time of reporting, the case had not yet been registered at Ajni police station.
The injured son, identified as Nitin Ingle, resides in Chintamani Nagar. The accused is his father, Manikrao Ingle, a former serviceman and currently a security guard. The dispute occurred between 11:30 and 11:45 PM, stemming from an argument over Nitin’s children. The altercation escalated, leading Manikrao to shoot Nitin in a fit of rage. Nitin has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
