Nagpur: A major fire broke out on Thursday at a Logistics Park where L&T company’s material was stored at 14th Milestone in Kalmeshwar Tehsil near Nagpur.
The Logistics Park has been rented out by construction major L&T Company. The machinery of the company is stored there. As per information, the flames were seen billowing out at 10.30 am and soon they enveloped the entire godown where the machinery was stored. The reason behind the fire is still unknown but the loss is pegged in crores and exact estimated loss will be known only after the survey.

The godown is located under Nimji Gram Panchayat. Apart from spare parts of the machinery, small machines and oil were stored in large quantities and this explains the rapid spread of fire to the entire section. Three fire-tenders from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) were dispatched to help in fire fighting operations.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Saoner, Maske and Police Inspector, Kalmeshwar police station, reached the spot on learning about the fire to monitor the operation.
