Nagpur: A fire erupted at Cafe Zero Mile, located within the premises of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, on Wednesday afternoon, causing extensive property damage. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
The fire started around 4 p.m., reportedly from the kitchen area, and rapidly engulfed the café. Sagar Kharche, who was present at the scene, quickly alerted the fire department. Firefighters from the nearby Narendra Nagar Fire Station responded swiftly, managing to contain the blaze and save property worth an estimated Rs one lakh.
Despite their efforts, the fire destroyed essential kitchen equipment, including stoves, an oven, a grill, a refrigerator, and several pieces of furniture. The total estimated loss exceeds Rs seven lakh.
While the cause of the fire is still unknown, an investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
