Nagpur: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union land transport and shipping minister Nitin Gadkari met RSS sar-sanghachalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday. Rumours are abound that the meeting held to discuss the upcoming cabinet expansion in the State.
It is worth mentioning here that Fadnavis and Gadkari met Bhagwat separately. According to information, CM Fadnavis reached Reshimbagh Smriti Mandir premises at around 6.30 pm, where he met Dr Bhagwat. Later at 7.30 pm, Bhagwat went to Sangha headquarter in Mahal where he met Gadkari. Sources informed that chances for State cabinet expansion are very high. Senior level talk is being conducted to decide who will get the revenue department after the resignation of Eknath Khadse.
Considering the internal atmosphere of BJP, the cabinet expansion will be challenging. Sources informed that this was the main issue of talk between Bhagwat and Fadnavis’ meeting. Apart from this, inter party politics, relations with friendly parties etc were also discussed in the meeting, informed sources.
Bhagwat also make Fadnavis and Gadkari aware of certain public issues. Fadnavis was at Reshimbagh for nearly half-an-hour and Gadkari also was at Sangha headquarters for almost same amount of time. Sangha has not commented on the meetings with Fadnavis and Gadkari.
