Nagpur News : Social Service Branch of Crime branch rescued five minor girls and four women, in their twenties, from city’s infamous red light area-Ganga Jamuna on Thursday afternoon.
Senior police inspector Kamal Jadhav informed that she and her police team conducted a raid after a tip-off from the secret sources.
Jadhav told that the minors were brought from out of town and were forced into the prostitute business. Besides Jadhav, API Moreshwar Barapatre, Head constable Pandurang Nikhore, Prakash Sidam, Sukkhdev Ganesh, WPC Poonam Sevatkar, Manda Tiwari conducted the raid .
As soon as cops spread in the area, people at Ganga Jamuna panicked and started running helter-skelter everywhere. However, police successfully rescued five minors and arrested two women and two customers.
