Nagpur: Nagpur Garden Club organised 109th Annual Flower Show, 42th Cacti & Succulent Show and 34th Dahlia and Gladioli Show on Sunday 13th January, 2019 at Kusumtai Wankhede Hall,North Ambazari Road, Nagpur. The showwas held in memory of Smt. LeelataiSubhedar, Past President of the club. The show was inaugurated at 11.30 am by Deepak Khirwadkar, Director of South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur. Sharad Paliwal, President of the club welcomed the chief Guest. Ms. Aasawari Shenolikar, Magazine Editor, Hitavada Twinkle Club welcomed the guest of honour.

Brief report of the show was submitted by Kedar Gokhale, Chairman – Flower Show Committee. Ms. Lata Andhare, Secretary proposed vote of thanks. The chief guest lauded the efforts of Nagpur Garden Club and the Hitavada in conducting such a huge flower show. He also praised the efforts and dedication of the participants who present such beautiful and enchanting plants, flowers and flower arrangements in the show.
Special attraction of the show was decorations using “Bamboo, Flowers and Greens” by a team of Nagpur Garden Club comprising of Ms. Rajashree Bapat, Ms. Aarti Rajkondawar, Ms. Swati Gokhale, Ms. Lata Andhare, Ms. Manisha Kulkarni, Ms. AnujaParchure, Ms. Rajashree Patil. This was done in association with Bamboo Vikas Mahamandal, Nagpur.
Total 101 number of participants took part in the competition which also included Annual Garden Competition, judging of which was done on 7th and 8th January, 2019. Total entries taken was 1050.Mansoora Zahoor Hasan won maximum prizes in the show followed by National Academy of defence Production (NADP) and Rekha Deshmukh and SonalDuddalwar. The show was attended by Nagpurians in large number and everyone applauded the show.
Prize Distribution Ceremony of the show will be held on Sunday 20stJanuary, 2019 at Nagpur Garden Club at 10.30 am.
