Nagpur: Forest department officials have arrested four persons in connection with smuggling body parts of tiger. A shocking fact has come to fore that these organs were used for black magic.
The names of the arrested were given as Ramdas Chavan, Tarasing Rathod, Sandip Nayak and Haripal Nayak, al residents of Pench Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh border.
Forest department officials got a tip off that some people were carrying tiger organs near Ram Mandir in Ramtek. The forest officials then laid the trap and arrested three people.
The officials recovered tiger’s whiskers from their two wheelers they were riding. On further questioning after detaining them, the accused revealed that they had buried other organs of the big cat in the forest of Pench National Park. On the basis of information, the forest officials took them to the place and recovered tiger’s bones and other organs and arrested one more person.
The forensic probe and it subsequent report will establish whether the organs recovered were that of tiger and whether it was a male or a female tiger and as to when and how it was killed.
