Nagpur: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the police establishment, the Maharashtra Government transferred 29 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) and Superintendent of Police (SP)-rank officers, including four from Nagpur, on Tuesday.
In Nagpur, DCP (Zone-I) Anurag Jain will now be the new SP of Wardha district while DCP (Zone-IV)Vijaykant Sagar has been transferred to Mumbai in the same capacity. Vishwa Pansare, who was SP (CID), will be the new SP, Railways, Nagpur. SP (ACB) Rahul Maknikar will join the Nagpur city police force as DCP. Maknikar had earlier served in the city as DCP (Zone-III). Laxmikant Patil, Principal of Police Training School, Nagpur, has been transferred as SP (Cyber Security), Mumbai. He replaced Nilesh Tambe, who was earlier Additional SP, Nandurbar.
SP (Yavatmal) Pawan Bansod has been shifted to State CID (Crime) Amravati. SP (Wardha) Noorul Hasan has been asked to take over as Commandant, SRPF (Group XI), Navi Mumbai. Digambar Pradhan, SP (Vigilance), Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), will be the new SP (ACB) Nagpur Division. Kumar Chinta, Additional SP (Gadchiroli) has been transferred to Yavatmal as SP. Similarly, 18 others have also been transferred across the State.
