Nagpur News : Innocence of a four-year-old was again at stake in the second capital on Wednesday when a man allegedly raped the little girl under the jurisdiction of MIDC police. Cops have booked the man after slapping charges of rape against him.
According to information, the accused Dev Chavan, a resident of Sanjay Nagar lured the four-year-old girl to give snacks to her and took her to his house on Wednesday at around 6.30 pm. The accused then raped the victim and threatened of dire consequences. But the girl narrated the incidence to her parents who later lodged a complaint against Dev in MIDC police station.
Cops have booked the accused after registering an offence under Sections 376 read with sub Sections 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012.
