Nagpur: A girl was duped of Rs 46,000 by a fraudster when she dialed customer care number of PayTm, Koradi police officials said.
According to police, Aarti Ramprasad Shriwas, a resident of Plot No. 42, Durga Mata Nagar, Koradi, dialed customer care number of PayTm to deactivate her PayTm account on April 8, 2020.
The customer care executive took her details of Debit card and transferred Rs 46,000 from her account to his account using the details.
A case under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 66 (c) (d) of Information Technology Act was registered by Koradi police against the fraudster.
