Nagpur: Senior Shiv Sena leader (Uddhav Thackerya group) Chandrakant Khaire on Sunday made a sensational claim that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is being sidelined from the BJP from within his own faction.

“We were in NDA. Modi was the Prime Minister. At that time, not a single BJP minister had the right to work. If Nitin Gadkari was asked to do something, he would do it. I went to him for a work. After five or six months, he returned to the Lok Sabha and asked what happened to the work? The work had not started. Gadkari had a sentence on it. I can’t say that. So much he was sidelined in BJP,” Khaire said, adding our Marathwada was damaged by sidelining Gadkari. He was interacting with the media. Khaire’s claim has created a stir.

“Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis plays revenge politics. The work of the Opposition is not done in the government. Rumours that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is also being sidelined from the BJP come from within his own faction. It is not right to sideline Gadkari,” Khaire stated.

Khaire further said, “People of all faiths are with Uddhav Thackeray. The allegations made by Bawankule that Uddhav would go to Owaisi. Mind well we are not helpless to seek help from others,” said Khaire.

He was in Nagpur for Shivgarjana Sampark Yatra. Khaire asserted, “I prayed to God to bless Uddhav Thackeray with the victory in the Supreme Court and we are confident about it. It will be interesting to see what would happen to the MLAs who left Uddhav Thackeray to his fate when the Supreme Court verdict would come.”

“Election Commission has betrayed us as it did not wait while delivering judgement in our case, which went against us. The same Election Commission had waited for two years when Ramvilas Paswan’s party faced a similar problem. This is clear discrimination,” pointed out Khaire.

He said, “We are touring the State with a roar through ‘Shivgarjana’ that will earn us the people’s mandate. While making any statement, Bawankule should take proper care. The allegations regarding the Owaisi issue by Bawankule are baseless. The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is the B Team of BJP which everybody knows.”

Chandrakant Khaire and other leaders are on a Maharashtra tour to earn sympathy after the party received a setback post-Election Commission decision that awarded the Arrow and Bow symbol to the Shinde group. Against that backdrop, Khaire was in the Second Capital of the State to raise the morale of party office-bearers and workers.
