The Tattoo Connect books details among the numerous forms of body art, tattoos are permanent. Their cultural significance was recognised by the inhabitants of the elder civilizations due to their near-permanent nature. Nevertheless, the art of tattooing is attributed a distinct significance by each community and tribe.

This book discusses two communities for which tattoos are not merely an art form, but rather a culturally significant artefact. The Ramnamis regard tattooing Ram Ram as an act of ultimate surrender, whereas the Konyak Nagas, who engage in headhunting, regard it as a symbol of accomplishment. The reading of the book discovers how tattoos continue to shape the cultural beliefs of these communities. And their endeavour to take pride in this ancient tradition in the contemporary era.

Dr Dutta, who is currently employed as the Head of Engineering at Mecgale, Nagpur, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “It is an accomplishment to receive such recognition from a Member of Parliament and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari himself.” This marks his fifth book to be published.
