Nagpur: The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court has once again granted 28 days parole to gangster-turned politician Arun Gawli to meet his family.
As per the court order, on all alternate days of parole period Gawli, a former MLA, will have to report to Agripada Police Station (Mumbai) for one hour in the morning. Arun Gawli is behind bars since his arrest on May 20, 2008 is at present lodged in Central Jail, Nagpur.
While speaking to Nagpur Today, the Lawyer representing Arun Gawli, Advocate Mir Nagman Ali said that the court has granted Parole of 28 days starting from April 14, 2016. He will have to report back to Nagpur Central Jail on May 11, 2016.
Arun Gawli alias Arun Gulab Ahir aka Daddy is a gangster-turned-politician in Mumbai who was convicted for murder and imprisoned for life. Arun Gawli’s gang is based at Dagdi Chawl in Byculla- Saat Rasta, Mumbai. Arun Gawli was finally convicted for murder of Shiv Sena leader Kamalakar Jamsandekar by a court in August 2012.
