Nagpur: A ruffian created ruckus in a beer bar and demanded extortion money from the owner at knife point. The goon also threatened to kill the bar owner if he failed to hand over the ‘haptha.’
The complainant Bhaskar Gulabrao Chaple (40), resident of Hiwrinagar, who runs Anil Bar, was seating in the bar around 10 pm on Wednesday. At the same time, the goon Manohar alias Manya Kalya Panchbhute of Babulban barged into the bar started hurling abuses on the bar owner. The accused whipped out a knife and demanded ‘haptha’ of Rs 10,000 per monthly from Bhaskar Chaple. Manya even threatened to kill the bar owner if he failed to give the ‘haptha.’
Nandanvan PSI P H Sayam, acting on the complaint of the bar owner, has booked the accused under Sections 384, 294, 506(B) of IPC read with Sub-Section 4+25 of Arms Act and searching for him.
