Nagpur: A middle-aged man was assaulted with sharp edged weapons by two goons at a country liquor shop in Juni Kamptee area on Monday evening. The injured Jalla alias Jalaluddin Ahmed (48), Kolsatal, Kamptee, is battling for his life at Life Line Hospital.
Jalaluddin was allegedly consuming liquor at P S Ramteke Country Liquor Shop at Chuna Bhatti. Around 7.30 pm, accused Sonu and one of his accomplices came to the shop. After enjoying liquor, they left.

Again Sonu and his friend came and stabbed Jalaluddin with knives injuring him seriously. After Jalaluddin collapsed, the goons ran away.Injured Jalaluddin was rushed to the hospital.
After recording the statement of Kishor Bhaurao Bendle (52), Manager of the liquor shop, Juni Kamptee Police registered a case under Section 307 (Attempt-to murder) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against Sonu and his friend.
