Goons loot cash worth Rs 13,000/- from two youth

Nagpur: Cash and goods worth Rs thirteen thousand was looted from two youth in separate cases in the city on November 2, 2016.

According to police sources, the first victim identified as Amit Balram Singh aged 25 years and a resident of Sukhdev Colony, Kandri was standing near the canal situated near Mahindra Company. Suddenly three unidentified goons approached him and fled the scene after snatching the victim’s mobile phone. The mobile phone is said to cost around Rs 8000/-. Immediately after the incident, the victim Amit Singh lodged a complaint with the Old Kamptee Police Station.

The second incident occurred in Panchpaoli area. The victim identified as Akib Siddiqui aged 24 years was present in his shop situated opposite to Bank of Baroda Branch on Rani Durgawati Square. At around 8:15 pm, the accused identified as Yogesh Giri and two of his co-accused came to his shop. The accused went on to get into some argument with the father of Akib Siddiqui. Before anyone could realize anything, the accused Yogesh Giri slashed the abdomen of the Akib Siddiqui’s father with a sharp edged knife and fled the scene after taking Rs 5000/- kept in his pocket. Panchpaoli Police Station has registered a case against the accused and are investigating further.
