Mumbai: Govinda has been routed to a private hospital Citicare in Mumbai. The actor was cleaning his revolver at his residence when he accidentally shot himself in the leg. As per reports, the actor has been shot in his right leg. A senior Mumbai police official has confirmed the same to ANI.
Govinda accidentally shoots himself as revolver misfires
On October 1, at 4:45 am, Govinda was about to leave his residence when the accident took place. The actor was allegedly cleaning his gun during which it misfired and injured his right leg. The 60-year-old was rushed to the hospital thereafter.

Govinda’s manager told PTI, “We had a 6 am flight to catch for a show in Kolkata and I had reached the airport. Govinda ji was about to leave his residence for the airport when this accident happened.” “The revolver apparently fell down while being kept in the cupboard and misfired. It is due to god’s grace that Govinda ji sustained only a leg injury and it was nothing serious,” he said.
Doctors have removed bullet, Govinda is stable now
The manager, Shashi Sinha also informed ANI that Govinda’s condition is not serious and nothing to worry about. He added that the actor was taken to the hospital only as a ‘precautionary measure’. The manager also confirmed to ANI that the doctors have removed the bullet and the actor is keeping fine for now.
As per PTI, the revolver was registered against Govinda and was licensed. The actor has not logged any police complaint in the matter.
