Nagpur: Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal took out a Grand Shobhayatra on the 349th Birth Anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Maharaj from the Mandal Hall at Indira Gandhi Colony in Jaripatka on January 16, 2016.
The procession had many impressive floats with colorfully decorated Beed of Aad Shri Guru Granth Saheb on an attractive chariot at the forefront, followed by floats of Shri Guru Nanak Devji, Shri Guru Gobind Singh, Shri Guru Ramdas, Shri Guru Arjan Dev, Shri Guru Harraisaheb, Shri Guru Harkrishan Dev and Shri Guru Teg Bahadur.
The floats were followed by various Ragis and devotees chanting “Gurbani”. The Shobhayatra passed through Sindhu Nagar Society, Dayanand Park square, Kukreja Nagar, Hudco colony, Ahuja Nagar, Bhim Chowk, Indora Road, Mahatma Gandhi School and main streets of Jaripatka and finally and culminated at Mandal premises.

Enroute the devotee of Guru Gobind Singh Maharaj had sweeped the roads while others sprinkled water and milk mixture. Flowers were rained on the procession at many squares by devotees.
Various prominent persons, including North Nagpur MLA Dr. Milind Mane, MLC Nago Ganar, Former Cabinet Minister Dr. Nitin Raut, North Nagpur BJP President Dilip Gour, Corporators Suresh Jagyasi and Bandu Talvekar, RSS’s PRO Ramesh Pasari, Ashok Goyal, Anil Bhardwaj, Rashtriya Sikh Sangat Vidarbha President Rajwantpal Singh Tuli etc. participated in the programme, and obtained blessings of Guru Maharaj in the first six days. Convener Adv. Madhavdas Mamtani said that this is the 46th year of celebration of Shri Gobind Singh Jayanti by the Mandal.
