Group clash turns deadly; history-sheeter murdered in Hingna, killers on the run

Brawl between two groups resulted in the murder of a criminal under the jurisdiction of Hingna police station on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Sunil Duryodhan Tiwari (40), a resident of Waghdara. Cops have booked all the accused under section 302 IPC under charges of murder, however no arrest has been made till the time of going to the post. Massive hunt has been launched for the absconding killers.

Police told that Sunil was involved in criminal activities and he worked with some goons in the areas. He had a tiff with few other criminals including Anil Palkar, and his mates. The sources informed that a brawl erupted between Anil Palkar, his gang and Sunil after which Anil decided to eliminate Sunil. On Thursday night around 11.30 pm, Anil along with Yogesh Aakode, Aditya Mishra and other assailants intercepted Sunil in Mahajanwadi and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. Sunil was killed on the spot while the accused made an easy escape from the scene.

Someone informed Hingna police after which station incharge R R Kapgate and his team rushed to the murder scene. Cops performed panchanama and later sent the body for autopsy to Government Medical College and Hospital.
