Nagpur: Five goons robbed an iron trader of his valuables and cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh on gun point in small factory area under Hudkeshwar. Police sources said some goons tried to extort Rs 50,000 from the victim Santosh alias Bunty Ramlal Shahu while he was sitting at his shop at Sudarshan Square here.
The accused Mukesh Shahu, Ritesh Shahu and Bablu Shahu, all residents of Sonba Nagar, along with Girdhar Agrawal, resident of Wardhaman Nagar and Vinod Gupta, resident of Panchpaoli reached the shop of Santosh Shahu and threatened him, weilding a gun.
One of them told Santosh to give Rs 50,000 if he wanted to run his shop. They also threatened him of dire consequences if he failed to deliver hafta regularly. Later the accused snatched away gold chain worth Rs 1.25 lakh and Rs 20,000 cash from him.

Santosh revealed that the accused had also extorted Rs 50,000 from him last month. Hudkeshwar police have registered the offence under sections 384, 386, 143, 325 and launched manhunt against the accused.
