Nagpur: Have you ever thought or has it occurred to you that, why is it so important to test how good your handwriting is?
Here is why –
I) After the pandemic, kids had become so used to gadgets that they had lost touch with the feel of pen and paper.
II) It involves the very necessary motor and cognitive skills in a child.
III) Cursive writing gives a very different look to each alphabet. Hence, it helps to reduce the *Dyslexic*tendencies in children.
To help kids come closer to the normalcy in life, the handwriting competition was conceptualized.
Lodge Vivekananda no. 367 conducted this in association with Lokmat times and Rotary Club of Nagpur Elite.
350 enthusiastic kids were divided into two groups – group A ( 1st to 5th) and group B ( 6th to 10th).
Both the groups were given a paragraph to write and later they were judged on that. 5 prizes were given out for each group – first, second, third & 2 consolation.
The person behind this project was Tushar Garg from Lodge Vivekananda no. 367. In addition to that, the prizes were distributed by the esteemed panel along with Tushar Garg, Shubhankar Patil and Shivangi Garg.
Since we had such large numbers, it was decided to BRING ABOUT AN AWARENESS IN CHILDREN about the CIVIC DUTIES .
For this session, API Wapi Wanjari ma’am from Sitabuldi police station came.
The gist of the program was how police help the citizens in their work, police department is not to be feared, traffic rules – kids must ensure their parents follow, good touch and bad touch in kids, child helpline number and what is crime and how they are handled etc.
Participation Certificates given by Mr . Mayuresh Katyan.
Winning trophies and snacks were provided by the Lodge.
