Nagpur: Happy Feet Kindergarten, Nagpur, hosted its Annual Sports Day on February 17, radiating boundless enthusiasm and joy under the theme “Jeet se badhkar saath hai!” (Togetherness is greater than victory!).
The esteemed chief guest, Ajay Dayal, a renowned Badminton Coach and Nagpur’s first representative in the Indian team, graced the occasion, adding prestige to the event. The festivities commenced with a symbolic torch-bearing ceremony, where Dayal, alongside the young students of Happy Feet, inaugurated the celebration.
In his address, Dayal emphasized the significance of physical activity in children’s lives, cautioning against the adverse effects of excessive screen time and advocating for outdoor sports to foster discipline and holistic development.
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students displayed various drills and races, showcasing their athletic abilities on the grounds of the ADBA Sports Complex, Nagpur. From spirited March Past to exhilarating Prachuate Play, Yoga sessions, and meticulously choreographed drills, every moment exuded unity and sportsmanship.
The highlight of the event was the spirited races, including “Baby sharks catching the fish,” “Bunny rabbits finding the carrots,” “Cute little monkeys jumping for the bananas,” and “Lion cubs crossing the obstacles bravely,” where children participated with boundless energy, fuelled by healthy competition and camaraderie. Teachers meticulously planned fun games, fostering teamwork and joyous participation among the young athletes.
Parents actively joined in the festivities, participating in races and engaging in all activities alongside their children. Their encouragement and pride overflowed as they cheered on their little ones.
The culmination of the Kindergarten events featured a mesmerizing patriotic finale dance performance by the young kindergarteners, leaving the audience spellbound with their exuberance and charm.
