Nagpur: The summer heat has intensified in Nagpur, the state’s second capital, leading to a significant rise in temperatures. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert for several parts of Maharashtra, including Nagpur. It is suspected that four people have died due to heatstroke in the city.

On Tuesday, Nagpur recorded a temperature of 44.8°C. An orange alert has been issued for today as well. The police have registered these sudden deaths, and it is suspected that the heatwave was the cause. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the municipal corporation’s death audit report is released, which will discuss and verify whether these deaths were indeed due to heatstroke.
